The OMEGA Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional Ref. 310.30.42.50.01.001 is the contemporary version of the chronograph that went to the moon. With its Hesalite crystal and closed caseback, this version sits closest to the watch as the astronauts wore it.
The steel case measures 42 mm and features a bezel with tachymeter scale in anodised aluminium, complete with the famous dot over the 90. The black step dial carries luminous indices and three registers: a small seconds hand, a 30 minute recorder and a 12 hour recorder. The brushed steel bracelet closes with a foldover clasp with comfort setting and the caseback bears the Seahorse medallion.
The movement is the OMEGA calibre 3861, a hand-wound Co-Axial movement certified as a Master Chronometer and resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. The power reserve is 50 hours and the watch is water resistant to 5 bar (50 metres).
